Ingenious ideas for introducing color into bathroom decoration

The bathroom is our place of care and cleanliness, the area where we begin our day. And its furnishings were updated to give it the recognition it deserved, whereas before it was often pushed to the side. What do these changes signify? In this way, we can already see bathrooms full of color, where chosen items are painted in many different hues. It can be the covers, the counter, the furniture, and even the toilets

From the usual bathroom with white features or occasionally in blue tones resembling water, we have progressed to designs that are much more varied in shades. Explore the range of options available with a colorful bathroom and give yours a fresh appearance.

Bathroom with coral wallpaper and gray panels

Combining tiles in the water area as cladding and wallpaper in the upper area is a success and creates an interesting contrast. The bathroom is a space that allows me to be more creative, where I like to surprise, to create the wow effect. Color well used with textures and materials is a good element to be able to surprise and create a different environment. This is a room where you can take risks, a theatrical space where it is worth using color and having fun. More precisely, it uses pearl gray tiles with a glossy finish, from Porcelanosa, and wallpaper in coral tones with bird motifs.

Likewise, textiles, such as towels, curtains or shutters, can also be a good opportunity to add a touch of color to the space.

Bathroom in a refreshing green color on the walls and shelves

This bathroom environment stands out for the beautiful freestanding tub with patches of gray but, above all, for the green that floods the walls and worktops, a tone that conveys freshness and calm. Quartz tiles are neutral in terms of carbon emissions, a sustainable option that we see in the Posidonia green color but also in clay brown, in a chromatic gray or in a very elegant blue.

Red bathroom with separate toilet and wallpaper with plant motifs

Sometimes we insist on cold colors for the bathroom, such as white and blue, when warm ranges give the room a pleasant sensation of warmth. For example, the wallpaper in this bathroom is coordinated with the tiles in a deep red, which attracts all eyes. The paper features a design with black vegetal decoration.

A space dominated by wood and natural stone

In this generously sized bathroom, the color comes mainly from these elements: the floor and the shower screen with lines in organic wood and the wall covering and the floor of the water area, in a Natural Naturamia Stone with colored veins.

In bathrooms, wood is often painted, but, as we can see, it is also spectacular by perceiving its colour, its grain and its knots.

Colorful toilets?

The toilet, bidet and sink have a protagonist color present in most interiors: white (normally with a glossy finish). Well, they break the mold and present these toilets in an elegant matt grey, thus multiplying the aesthetic options for the bathroom.

The color possibilities are very varied and include, for example, various shades of green and blue, canary yellow or black.

Bathroom in pastel pink and blue colors

Inspired by the aesthetics of the 60s and 70s and invaded by blue and pink. Pink has a magic capable of transforming any serious environment into a playful one, it can modernize the most classic piece or refresh the most sober and boring environment. The pastel blue, also very present, has the task of consolidating a sweet and delicate appearance.

Bathroom with pop style furniture

These pieces of furniture are sometimes painted with very cheerful and lively colours, as in the proposed image which combines red, yellow and white, all framed in black to enhance the changed colour. Contrasts produce a vital and dynamic effect.

Bathroom that combines a cabinet under the yellow sink and a sophisticated shower cabin with a black profile

If you don’t dare with a cabinet that mixes multiple colors in the sink, as we saw before, on the market you will find countless proposals in a single color, like this cabinet in a vital yellow with also black handles. color like the taps.

The current trend, moreover, is for shower enclosure profiles to be chosen in black. You will be able to fill the space with sophistication.

Cabinets in a surprising electric blue

Can I add color if I have an open sink? Although they are usually accompanied by boxes and baskets for interior organization in fairly neutral colors, such as white, sand or grey, yes, if you opt for those that offer a touch of color to the decor. In this proposal the boxes are a vibrant electric blue that reflects the color of the flooring, decorated with fascinating geometric motifs.

Plants for a truly natural bathroom2

In this bright bathroom, gray is present practically throughout the space, such as the furniture, the floor and the wonderful wallpaper. To break with the prevailing sobriety, place a houseplant with leaves. Plants offer a fantastic natural note and in bright bathrooms it is possible to introduce varieties such as sansevieria, potho or aloe vera, which adapt well to the humidity conditions of the bathroom.

Bathroom with terrazzo tiles and pink curtains

I have seen examples of bathrooms where color is introduced in small or large doses, but here it is present in absolutely every corner: the furniture. curtains, walls, floors… This project is a very strange space. It is located where the kitchen was originally located. Thinking about the distribution, we saw that the weight of the small dimensions could create a special composition, far from the usual distribution of elements in a bathroom. The custom-made sink becomes the most important element, while the toilet and shower are separated by pink curtains. The floor is a multicolored terrazzo. To achieve harmony and visual continuity, the same material is also used on the walls.
