Sea, sand and salt are the main words of every summer. They fill ads, movies and books inspired by various shores where warm weather dominates. However, we cannot have vacations all summer, and having a blow-up pool at home will be the best option to beat heat waves and cool down after a long day at work.
In the last few summers, summer breaks have been marked by uncertainties and rules that have changed often. Evidence of this was the rise in the purchase of inflatable pools, a product that lets you enjoy a nice swim in your own yard. This is a way to keep the kids entertained by playing in a fun and, most importantly, super cooling setting!
Also, one of the benefits of these inflatable pools is that they are a good option if you don’t want to do construction work on a pool. In fact, being portable you can put them wherever you want. You can also empty it and change position as many times as you want, although it is advisable to keep it in a safe space, because the more you move it, the greater the risk of a puncture. Fragility is perhaps its disadvantage compared to large-scale pools, but its effects do not vary much for those who dive in these inflatable pools at the end of the day, which are much cheaper than fixed ones.
We present here some practical tips that you should keep in mind when owning an inflatable swimming pool. Think above all about the land you have, the surface area and the space you need.

What is the best place to place the pool?
- Choose a sunny area to enjoy swimming and the beach. An area that is also close to an electrical outlet, water and a drain.
- You should also keep in mind that the area is sheltered from the wind and does not have many trees around.
Before installation, prepare the ground:
- Mark the space where you will install the pool. If the pool is round, it should be 1 meter more than the diameter it measures. If it is oval, it will be 1 meter longer and 2 meters wider.
- It is important to level the ground. Never add soil where it is missing, it is better to remove what remains. Clean the area of roots, stones, etc. and compact the soil so that it is solid and can support the weight of the pool once filled with water.
- When the ground is clean and level, spread a thin layer of sifted sand (maximum thickness 1 cm), wet it and compact it.
Once you have followed these steps, you will already have the ideal terrain to proceed with the assembly of your inflatable pool. For this you will only need:
- Star-shaped screwdriver
- Measuring tape
- Cutter
- Chei fixed set
A simple way to spend summer evenings, economical, quality and which will allow you to unplug for a few hours. These inflatable pools are the best solution for all types of gardens, large or small. Furthermore, being inflatable, you can leave it installed for a few months and put it away when you no longer use it, which differentiates them from those construction pools that take up much more space.
Inflatable pools on the terraces
Placing an inflatable pool on the terrace is not as easy as in a garden, because for safety reasons it cannot be overloaded. The weight that a roof, terrace or balcony can support is 200 kilograms per square meter, which means approximately 20 centimeters of water per square meter.
For this reason, on terraces and balconies, it is optimal to place small inflatable pools for cooling off or for children to play. Do not place a deep pool that covers your body on the terrace because it will be dangerous and there is a risk of the roof collapsing.
